Hook & Purl was founded during lockdown for Covid-19 in the summer of 2020. It has for a long time been my dream to open a yarn shop in my own little hometown to feed my own personal hobby and passion for crochet and knitting. During lockdown I had one of those ‘it’s now or never’ moments where I decided life is too short to sit on your dreams and the many hours spent whiling away the time with my beloved hooks and needles reignited my passion to make that dream become a reality. The prospect of opening a bricks and mortar shop during these uncertain times seemed a little too far out of my reach and I wanted people to be able to have the option to shop from the comfort and safety of their own home without having to sacrifice the wonderful personal customer service and expertise you would get from shopping in a bricks and mortar store. This is how Hook & Purl was born!
I pride myself on providing the very best service possible to my customers ensuring that each and every customer is made to feel like a 'regular' at my yarn shop whilst providing a beautiful range of yarn and wool from West Yorkshire Spinners, Scheepjes, Sirdar and more to satisfy every fibre artist's dreams with the convenience that ordering online provides.
